B2B wholesale UX built around MOQ, tiers, and contact-supplier.

Alibaba is a wholesale marketplace, and its interface assumes a buyer who negotiates rather than checks out. The dominant primitives are minimum order quantity, tiered price-per-unit tables that drop as volume rises, and a "Contact Supplier" path that often outweighs any add-to-cart. Listings carry trust scaffolding specific to sourcing — verified-supplier badges, years-on-platform, transaction levels, and trade-assurance marks — because the real risk here is the counterparty, not the product. The result is information-dense to the point of overwhelm: long scrolling specs, certificate thumbnails, and inconsistent supplier-authored layouts. Search skews toward broad category trees over precise faceting. It's a genuinely different commerce grammar from consumer retail, optimized for inquiry and relationship instead of impulse, and the UI wears that purpose plainly.
