TYPENORM Labs studies how people really use digital products. Join the research panel and we'll invite you to studies that fit you.

You need a TYPENORM account. No public profile is created, and you can delete your participant profile at any time.

Who we're looking for

People who use digital products in everyday life: banking and payment apps, subscriptions, shopping, travel, work software. You don't need any design or research background.

You need to be 18 or over. You can be anywhere; every study is remote.

What taking part involves

Studies take different forms. You see what each one involves before you agree, and you choose per study.

Interviews: a conversation about how you use a product.
Usability sessions: you try a product or a prototype while sharing your screen.
Surveys: short questionnaires you fill in on your own time.
Capture tasks: you record or screenshot a flow in a product you already use.

What we ask for and why

Every participant fills one standard profile, once, before taking part in any study. It lets Labs pick the right people for a study and read its results properly.

The profile asks for your name, the country and time zone you're in, the languages you speak, the devices you use, when you're usually available, and the kinds of products you use. Your email comes from your account. For products, we only ask about categories, for example:

Bank or fintech account
Subscription (streaming, software, delivery…)
Loyalty programme
Current booking (travel, stay, event)

What we hold and for how long

We hold your name, email (from your account), country and region, time zone, languages, devices, availability, the product categories you told us you use, and your consent and declarations, with the dates you gave them. We never ask for passwords, credentials or account numbers. Only you and the Labs team who select study participants can see it; nothing appears on any public page or profile. We keep it for 365 days after you last confirm it. 30 days before then we email you a link to keep it for another 365 days; saving this form also counts. If you don't confirm, we delete your profile and any study invites on the day it expires. Delete my profile removes it immediately.

You can see, change or delete your profile at any time from the profile page. Our privacy policy covers the rest.

Two rules

When you save your profile, you confirm both of these:

“I am 18 or older.”
“I do not work for, and am not taking part on behalf of, any company whose product a study I join is about, and I will tell TYPENORM if that changes.”

Compensation

Compensated. The amount and form are stated per study before you agree.
