NN
Nielsen Norman Group — Homepage
A homepage that sells authority by refusing to look like it's selling

The teardown
The NN/g homepage is a study in confident restraint. The hero — 'Research-based, results-driven UX guidance and training' — makes the entire pitch in seven words and then declines to raise its voice: neutral palette, generous white space, consistent type, no gradients or motion competing for attention. That plainness is a positioning move. A firm this established doesn't need to look exciting; looking calm and credible is the flex, and the design spends its budget on legibility instead of persuasion. Below the hero the page lays the funnel out in the open — live courses and self-paced titles with real prices ($199, $49), recent free articles, team-training and consulting entry points, a 'Why NNGroup' reassurance block, and a client logo wall (Visa, P&G, Amazon) doing the trust-building the copy is too composed to do out loud. The recurring newsletter signup keeps the lightest door open. It's a homepage that assumes you already respect the name and is designed only to route that respect to the right tier.
