Motiff — Homepage
'The best UI generator' over an empty prompt box, under a red bar announcing the product's discontinuation — a marketing page and a wind-down notice sharing one screen

The teardown
Motiff's homepage is a well-built AI-product page with one unmissable complication. It opens white and quiet — a dotted grid, a small logo, a four-item nav, a black 'Get started' — and makes its claim in enormous type: 'The best UI generator.' The hero's payload is the product's own input field, dropped straight into the page: 'Tell AI what you want to design …' with Text to UI / Wireframe to UI / Screenshot to UI / PRD to UI beneath it. That decision does more than any screenshot could. It tells you the entire surface area of the tool is one box, and it lets the page demonstrate rather than describe. Scrolling drops into a pale grey-lavender band carrying the four-part argument — context, preset stylings, precision refinement, export — each one paired with a real screenshot of the tool rather than an illustration. Then the page cuts to full black for a benchmark section that treats 'best' as a measurable claim rather than a boast ('We don't just call it the best. We measure it,' backed by dataset breadth, daily expert review, and stated scoring criteria), then a long testimonial wall of designers and PMs. It is, section by section, a confident and current pitch. Above all of it runs a red strip: 'Motiff has been discontinued. Data export is available until October 31, 2026.' Nothing below the strip is written as though the strip exists. The page still recruits, still sells, still funnels toward Get started and a $16 plan; the only other trace of the wind-down is a footer link to export old Motiff editor files — the remains of the design editor this company built before it became a generator. Reading the two layers at once is the whole value of the capture: a product's clearest, most reduced statement of itself, published on top of its own shutdown notice.
