Each finding is rated on Nielsen's severity scale; the points deduct from a lens's 100.
- Catastrophe — a usability disaster; imperative to fix before release.−25
- Major — a serious problem; high priority to fix.−12
- Minor — a low-priority problem to fix.−5
- Cosmetic — fix only if extra time is available.−2
Grade bands
A composite maps to a grade band by its minimum threshold.
