WIRED

One category template, three different jobs — and the section order is where each one shows its hand.

WIRED is Condé Nast's technology magazine, and its public reading surface is built from one repeated part: the category page. Business, Science and Reviews all render the same shell — sticky masthead, centred display headline, a hero grid, then a long stack of labelled section rails. What changes between them is the order of the rails, and the order is not editorial housekeeping. On Business the first four rails are newsletter brands. On Science a signup bar sits between the title and the first story. On Reviews the first three rails are gear news, daily deals and coupons. Same template, three different asks, none of them announced.
