Webflow

A tool built on visual craft, arguing its case entirely in the finance team's units — pipeline, cost savings, ticket reduction — and then splitting the bill five ways on the pricing page.

Webflow's public surface has been rebuilt around a word that did not exist in its old vocabulary: agentic. The title tag reads 'the agentic web platform for modern businesses', the platform page opens with 'More than a website builder', and the homepage's largest single element is a film still of an AI session panel docked beside a localhost preview. What is worth reading across these pages is not the repositioning — every tool in this category made the same move — but what the pages count. Not one proof on the homepage is a design proof. Every number is commercial: $200M in new pipeline, $6M in annual cost savings, a 67% drop in dev tickets, a 1,170% traffic increase. A company whose entire brand equity was built on visual craft now sells to the person who signs off on the budget, and the craft appears only as the thing that produced the number. Then you reach pricing, and the same discipline that made the homepage legible falls apart into three plan families, a separate Ecommerce tab, four independently metered add-ons, and a footnote that quietly changes what the price applies to.
