Roblox is two interface problems stacked on each other. The platform shell — the game-discovery feed, the avatar editor, the catalog, and the friends list — is a fairly conventional storefront with category browsing and recommendation rails. But the moment you enter an experience, UI consistency dissolves, because every game is built by a different creator with their own menus, currencies, and conventions. There's no shared design language inside experiences, so players relearn navigation each time. The avatar editor and catalog are the platform's most refined surfaces, letting kids assemble and equip items through a grid-and-preview loop. The persistent Robux balance in the top bar anchors the economy. The tension is structural: a directory of UIs can curate the shell but cannot govern what lives inside.
