Miro

An infinite whiteboard for sticky notes at team scale.

Miro takes the whiteboard metaphor literally and scales it past the limits of a physical wall: an infinite, zoomable plane where sticky notes, frames, and connectors are all direct-manipulation objects. Navigation is the central problem an infinite canvas creates, and Miro answers with a minimap, frame-based 'slides,' and zoom-to-fit so teams don't get lost in empty space. Presence is rich — cursors, avatars, and a 'bring everyone to me' follow mode turn a sprawling board into a guided meeting. The toolbar floats at the edge, staying out of the content, while templates seed structure into the void. The tension is density: a full board rewards spatial memory but can overwhelm newcomers who arrive mid-project.
