Ecosia
A standard results layout with a running tree counter as its persistent signature.
Ecosia's interface is conventional by design — a clean box, Bing-powered results, familiar autosuggest — with one element it never lets you forget: the tree counter in the header, ticking up as you search, tying each query to a concrete cause. That counter is the whole identity, a persistent ambient signal that turns an invisible action into visible impact. A small leaf icon marks eco-friendly businesses in results; green-energy framing appears around the edges without overwhelming the core task. The layout itself stays restrained and readable, which is the right call — the mission lives in one well-placed widget rather than smeared across the page. Underlying relevance tracks its Bing source, so result quality rises and falls with that backend.
