Brave
A per-site shield counter that makes blocked trackers a visible, tappable number.
Brave wraps a familiar Chromium frame around one assertive interface idea: the Shields panel. A lion icon in the address bar opens a per-site count of trackers and ads blocked, turning invisible background defense into a concrete number you can read and toggle. That visibility is the whole pitch, privacy made legible at the site level rather than buried in settings. The rest of the chrome is conventional Chromium, which keeps the learning curve flat. The friction is the bundled extras, a rewards token, a built-in wallet, sponsored new-tab images, that crowd the surface with crypto-flavored UI many users want nothing to do with and must opt out of. Underneath, it's the Chrome you already know, with a privacy dashboard stapled to the omnibox.
