Highlights

  • Pulse Projects becomes a folder: roles, user flows and an information-architecture tree live as records beside several boards per project, and every link carries a readable name
  • The canvas grows up: mind maps you type or generate, to-do lists, frames with a presentation mode, locks, colour themes, Figma-style connectors and a right panel that holds every action
  • Notifications arrive: a Notifications tab on your account for replies, likes, follows, answers and more, with immediate or folded email and a daily digest you can switch off
  • The Collective rewards participation: achievements and grades, a first-week onboarding track, a weekly challenge, rules you accept once, and a comment thread under every request
  • The School library grows by twelve UX laws, the Nielsen heuristics, sixty-odd UI pattern documents and six how-tos; Labs opens its participant panel; AX Score measures how an agent fares on your site

Pulse

  • A project is now a folder. Roles, user flows and an information-architecture page tree live as records beside your boards, and a sidebar switches between several boards in one project.
  • Records on the board: drop a role or flow card onto a canvas. It stays linked to the record, refreshes when the record changes, and says so when the record is gone.
  • Readable addresses: project, board and record links carry their names, and a rename keeps every old link working.
  • Mind maps: place a topic, press Tab for a child and Enter for a sibling, with branches arranged on both sides. Or describe a topic, or paste notes, and get a map to edit.
  • More to put on a board: to-do lists, frames with a presentation mode that steps through them, locked elements, colour themes and collapse for sections, a caption under an image, a source chip on a sticky note, and board settings for the background and snap to grid.
  • Connectors Figma-style: hover a shape for its edge ports and drag to another element. Connectors take a weight, a dash, arrowheads, a label and a straight or curved route. Connect a selection in sequence or to a hub, arrange it into a row, a column or a grid, and match sizes.
  • Faster editing: a key for every tool, creating at the pointer with a ghost preview, a toolbar reshaped like Figma's, every selection action in a right panel you can hide with Cmd+\, view controls in the same panel, and section titles that stay readable at any zoom.
  • Right-click an element or a selection to copy a link to it, or copy it as PNG.
  • Comments open in a Figma-style popover with avatars, names and times on one line; unread threads are marked per person, and the panel lists every thread.
  • Agent Experience: a closed-beta AX Score runs an agent through a website and reports how it fared, and the new /pulse/agent-experience page takes beta requests.
  • Pulse tools: first-run and empty states that end in saving to a project, an NPS calculator rewritten for the people who search for one, and fuller introductions on the five shortest tool pages.

Collective

  • Achievements and grades: named achievements earned from what you do, a grade that advances on its own, and both shown on your profile and your account.
  • First week in the Collective: a five-step onboarding track with a credit bonus when you finish it.
  • A weekly challenge: four rotating tasks, each paying reputation, with a bonus for completing all four.
  • Accept the community rules once before your first post, question, answer or comment.
  • Requests show who posted them and when, carry a comment thread, and thank the person who asked on the request page.
  • Staff-grade members can post Lab orders, reviewed and paid by the house. The monthly credit refill follows your grade, and vote karma has a daily cap.

School

  • The library's laws shelf gains twelve UX laws and the ten Nielsen heuristics, each linked from the Labs framework page.
  • The patterns shelf gains a document for every seeded problem pattern, in six categories: trust, conversion friction, decision support, effort, feedback and system status, and error recovery.
  • Six more how-to workbooks: heuristic evaluation, usability test script, card sort, tree test, user interview and error messages, each tied to its Pulse template or tool.
  • Tool and catalog pages link straight into lesson 1 of the first course, lesson 1 opens with an orientation line, and the UX Snapshot and research synthesis pages list the courses that teach them.
  • Sign-up asks you to accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, including a first Google sign-in from the login page.
  • Editors can fix a published lesson's text in place on the lesson page, without going to the admin area.

Labs

  • Join as a participant: a landing page and sign-up with an account but no public profile, a profile form, and a panel that shows your study invites and everything we hold about you.
  • Participant profiles expire after a year unless you reconfirm, with a reminder email a month before and a one-click stop-contacting-me link on every message.
  • The UX Clarity Canvas page now carries its worked example.

App catalog

  • Every app says which market it serves: a Region facet on the catalog and region chips on each app page.
  • A Screen hub in the header gathers apps, flows, collections and landing pages in one place.
  • The twenty most-seen app pages have problem-first titles and descriptions, a fuller introduction, and a link into the first course.
  • TYPENORM is in its own catalog, captured once per release, with the release's screens shown on its release page.

Articles

  • New guides: Agent Experience and the websites agents can use, automotive UX, conversion optimization, writing a value proposition, in-page navigation for long pages, ideation techniques, what MVP means, running a design workshop, and selection bias in user research.
  • New teardowns: Hulu, Twitch, Letterboxd, Claude, Perplexity, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Sharper titles and internal links on the pages already near page one, and a next step on the pages ChatGPT sends readers to.

Account and sign-in

  • A Notifications tab: replies, comments, likes, answers and accepted answers, request status, board comments, form answers, study results, monitor alerts, vote milestones and new followers, with mark as read.
  • Email that respects your time: an immediate note for a comment on your board, folded reply notices, a daily digest of what you missed, and an activity toggle on your account.
  • Release notes and legal updates reach every account as a broadcast; release emails go only to accounts that opted into product updates.

Website

  • Release pages open with What moved since the previous release.
  • Thin hub pages rewritten: an introduction on every interface and industry page, pillar introductions on ten topic pages, the seven Labs city pages folded into one, and four near-empty interface pages merged into the index.
  • An agent policy: known agents are let in and the policy is stated on /agents, and the home page carries structured data for them.

Platform improvements and internal tooling.
