Release 0.30

October 7, 2026

Highlights

  • Pulse Projects opens to every signed-in account: share a board read-only, comment on it, add images and sections, export to PNG or PDF, and publish a survey to a link
  • The Collective becomes social: posts with images, video and polls, comments and likes, follows, avatars, block and mute, and a complete report and moderation loop
  • The School library opens with UX laws, how-tos and UI patterns; the first course, WCAG 2.2 Fundamentals, goes live with knowledge checks, and the launch curriculum shows as planned courses
  • Articles get comments, likes and bookmarks, and every page carries the new global header and footer
  • Four Labs framework pages replace their Coming soon cards, and the YC X26 consumer cohort joins the app catalog

Pulse

  • Pulse Projects is open to every signed-in account; the waitlist is retired.
  • Share a board with a read-only link. Viewers sign in and land back on the link, and the link dies when you turn sharing off.
  • Comments on the canvas: pin a thread to an element or to a spot on the board, reply, resolve and reopen.
  • Add images by paste, upload or drop; corner handles keep the aspect ratio and the picture survives a reload.
  • Sections: titled containers whose contents move with them, stacked into a column or placed freely.
  • Copy, cut and paste elements within a board and across boards; a right-click menu; align and distribute a selection; Shift+click to add to the selection.
  • Export the whole board or a selection as PNG or PDF, straight from the browser.
  • A minimap, sticky-note labels shown as badges, elbow connectors with rounded corners, flat rounded cards for notes, sections and images, and the five templates rebuilt with stickies, shapes and headings.
  • New layout: a floating bottom toolbar, a top bar with Share, Export and Present, and minimap and zoom at the bottom left. The browser tab shows the file name, and returning to a board through the workspace switcher restores your selection and open panels.
  • Forms: publish a survey to a link and collect anonymous answers, add text and image blocks, mark questions as required, read results with a per-question breakdown and a CSV export, and manage everything from My forms in the account.

Collective

  • Posts: publish from the top of the Feed or your own profile in one text field, with up to four images or one video, or a poll with two to four options and one vote per member.
  • Comments, replies and likes under every post.
  • Follow other members, with followers and following lists on your profile; block or mute a member when you need to.
  • Profile avatars: upload a photo or use Gravatar, shown in the header and on your public profile.
  • The feed shows each newly published article as its own row.
  • Reputation and grades: a panel on your account, a grade badge on profiles and a public grades page.
  • Q&A is seeded with fifty canonical threads, and the asker is emailed on a new answer, the author on an accept.
  • An About page with the community rules: what the Collective is, how reputation works, what is not allowed.
  • Reports: reasons fit a social surface, urgent reports hide content at once, ordinary ones wait for a moderator; report a profile for impersonation or private information; reporters see what happened and authors are told; every moderator action is logged; illegal content can be purged for good; and anyone can file a copyright or illegal-content notice without an account.

School

  • The School library: a hub with three shelves. UX laws, one document per law; how-tos with a workbook template (persona, journey map, empathy map, UX survey, design brief); and UI patterns, each with a schematic illustration.
  • The first course is live: WCAG 2.2 Fundamentals, audit a screen for accessibility.
  • Knowledge checks: two to three questions complete a lesson; a miss points you back to the right part without giving the answer away.
  • The launch curriculum shows as planned courses with preview pages before each course is written.
  • A lesson's link to an article or an app screen opens over the lesson, and Back returns you to where you were.

Labs

  • Four framework pages replace their Coming soon cards: Frictions Map, 5L UX Onboarding Flow, Research-to-Design Loop and UX Clarity Canvas.

App catalog

  • The YC X26 (Spring 2026) consumer cohort joins the catalog as a collection with captured landings.

Articles

  • A comment thread under every article, with replies, likes and a report button.
  • Like an article, and see the count once a few readers have.

Account and sign-in

  • Bookmark an article or an app and find it under Saved on your account.

Website

  • A new global header and footer: one bar on every page, fixed at every scroll position, redesigned for desktop and mobile.
  • Switching sections from the top bar brings you back to where you left off in each one.
  • The magazine landing style page has a call to action.

Platform improvements and internal tooling.
